Update V1.3 - Patterns!
After a little break, we have a new feature in the tool:
Pattern tiles!
Pattern tiles are a new way to display a tile, just like random and animated tiles. It takes a larger grid of sprites and creates a pattern that repeats in the order you specify, so the grid won't look as uniform.
To use this new feature the process is almost the exact same as for random or animated tiles. Use the inspect tool to select a grid cell, and there you can change the "Output" field to "Pattern". After you selected this option a few options will appear. A field, to specify the size of the pattern. And a preview window which will show you the pattern, to guide you with adding the sprites.
In this example you can see that I selected the middle tile in the grid, and changed it to a 3x2 pattern, adding 6 sprites for the output. After generating this tile it will give us this result:
